427 Cobra Choices:
4000 Series – This car is offered in fiberglass, carbon fiber, and aluminum bodied versions. All are true Shelby Cobras, not built in England but rather built under license to Shelby Automobiles in other parts of the world.
COMP, Spec Racer, Challenge Racer – All of these cars are built exclusively by Finish Line under agreement with Shelby Automobiles. Finish Line is the only source for these special cars. Developed from our racing efforts, these cars are both exclusive and unique in many respects. All are based on the 4000 Series.
4000 R Cobra - This car is very unique in that there are only 10 of them available. Finish Line produced the chassis for Shelby. They are based on the COMP, Spec Racer, and Challenge Racer technologies.
427 FIA – The primary significance of this car is the fact that, of all of the new 4000 Series Cobras, this car is the most accurate in visual and mechanical detail. It is so correct that it is eligible for an FIA Passport. The FIA is the World body of motoring and motor sport.
289 Cobra Choices:
7000 Series – This car is the FIA Cobra which utilizes the transverse leaf spring car suspension front and rear as original. These were the original Shelby race cars that ran in Europe and competed for the FIA world championship along with the Daytona coupes. The 7000 Series is available with either a fiberglass or an aluminum body. The aluminum version is built to such an exacting standard that it comes complete with FIA papers. No one offers this car except Finish Line Motorsports, Inc.
8000 Series – Both aluminum and fiberglass bodies are available for this model. This is the original Cobra with narrow body, slab sides, wire wheels, under car exhaust, set up for a 289 or 302 V8. Very cool!
8000 Series COMP – Available only in aluminum, this car represents a performance updated version of the 8000 Series slab side.
8000 Series R – Available only in aluminum, this car represents a dead identical clone of the famed CSX 2002 Shelby Cobra which was Carroll’s first race car. So dead identical that it too has FIA papers.
